your bike is going to go through more punishment on the trail than like getting hit but that mallet, and thats what it takes to get some parts like cranks off sometimes. like you said with the right tools, there is no harm in doing it.

Wow, i have just got back from winter park on a week long ski trip, its amazing how differnt this place looks in the summer, you can hardly recognise it. Its amazing in winter, i would love to know what its like in the summer!

do you not think he would have already asked them if he wanted a trials frame? he might prefer riding a mountain bike rather than a trials bike just like some people like mountain hardtails rather that full sussers.
